The 17U Tornadoes competed in the OVA McGregor Cup, Trillium division on Sunday Feb. 5th in Simcoe.

High energy and strong serving led to a first place finish in their pool over Niagara Rapids (St. Catherine’s) and Jr. Gryphons (Guelph) but after a long lunch break, the team had a slow start in their quarterfinal dropping to Xtreme (Simcoe).

In their game for 5th/7th, the team dropped their last two sets to the Vipers (Grimsby).

Although it was not the results that the team would have liked, we are happy to see the huge progress and skill development since the beginning of the season. The team is looking forward to working hard to have a strong showing at our next tournament, the Bugarski Cup.
