Hunter, as the Head Coach of the 15U Girls Team, has been coaching with Brantford Youth Volleyball Club (BYVC) since 2021.

She has a deep love for the sport and started playing volleyball with the Tornadoes in grade 8 and has been hooked on the sport ever since.

After completing her university education, Hunter felt a strong desire to give back to BYVC, which provided her with so many opportunities and positive experiences as a young player.

Through coaching, Hunter’s love for the sport continues to grow and evolve. She strives to teach her players valuable life skills and lessons through the sport of volleyball.

In her coaching, Hunter emphasizes the values of respect, resilience, empathy, teamwork, and sportsmanship. she believes that these qualities are not only important on the court, but also in life. Hunter is dedicated to imparting these values to her players through her words and actions. Her

Hunter’s passion for volleyball and her commitment to developing young athletes make her a valuable asset to the BYVC coaching team.

Skylar is a first-year Assistant Coach for BYVC’s 15U girls’ Volleyball Team. She has played rep volleyball since 13U and joined BYVC as a rep player in 17U and 18U when she moved to Brantford. One of her most memorable experiences as a BYVC rep player was winning gold at OVA provincials.

Her sister Hunter is the head coach of the 15U team and both of them played volleyball growing up. It was a no brainer when asked to help coach the team to give back to a great organization that helped shape who she is today.

Skylar works as a tax accountant and serves as the treasurer for the Lansdowne Children’s Centre Foundation.
