We are so proud to share that the girls have won their very first gold medal of the season! After winning two back-to-back silver medals in our last tournaments, we were determined to claim the gold today. 

After finishing the morning first in our pool, we fought a tough match against Twin Bridges Thunder Boom Blue and secured a spot in the semi final. We took Scorpions Pinchers to three sets in the semi final to secure our spot in the gold medal match. Facing our opponents Norfolk Chaos Chill in the final, we played hard and it paid off with a shiny gold medal! 

Throughout the day our main focus for the girls was precision passing and serving to score. This is something we have been working on in practice and the girls used these new skills all day long! We are so proud of you! #letsgooutburst 💙🧡💙🧡💙

Announcing the award winners of today’s tournament: 

Ava (Left) was awarded the passing precision award today. We have been focusing hard in practice on taking a step back and keeping a strong platform when playing defensively. Ava demonstrated all of the qualities in her defence that we talked about in practice! 

Olivia (Right) was awarded our strong hitter award. Making her presence known up at the net, Olivia was unstoppable when the ball was set her way. She focused on getting a good approach and snapping her wrist to score! 

Simrit (Centre) was awarded our Queen of the tournament. We have given her specific goals to improve her serving consistency and she did not disappoint! Simrit had a powerful serve and always knew her place on the court. Keep working hard to achieve your goals!
