15U Brant Storm earned their first GOLD medal of the 2025–2026 season this past weekend at the OVA Challenge Cup in Burlington, Ontario.

The team opened the day with a strong showing in pool play, finishing undefeated against two Niagara-based teams. Throughout the day, Brant Storm displayed relentless defense, confident serving, and aggressive attacking at the net.

Momentum carried into the playoffs, where the team came together to secure a win over Oakville Thunder in their first elimination match. Brant Storm then faced Lakeside, taking two straight sets to advance to the finals.

In the championship match, Brant Storm met Shockwave Sharks, who also entered the finals undefeated. The Storm rose to the challenge, winning two straight sets to cap off an outstanding day and secure the gold medal.

🏆 Award Winners

• Positivity Award: Morgan McKellar #70. Morgan was recognized for her outstanding attitude on and off the court. Her positivity, encouragement, and leadership were felt throughout the day and had a meaningful impact on her coaches and teammates.
• Tournament MVP / Brant Storm GOAT Award: Reegan MacWilliam #12. Reegan earned the GOAT Award for her consistently positive outlook throughout the tournament and her dominant presence on the court. She was a force to be reckoned with at the net, delivering powerful kills from both the front and back court. Her precise passing and all-around play capped off a fantastic day and played a key role in the team’s success.
