BYVC Introduces Open Gyms for June!!!

BYVC is having open gyms during the month of June for players new to competitive volleyball and BYVC.  Come and meet our coaches in these informal sessions designed to give players a place to practice, improve their skills and to engage in game-like situations. 

It’s a great opportunity for those who might be interested in the Competitive Program to get a feel for Club and what it offers.

Sessions will be at Pauline Johnson Collegiate & Vocational School, 627 Colborne St, Brantford ON N3S 3M8.  Sessions are 1.5 hours long each and start at 6:30 pm.

Cost = FREE!!!

15U Girls Riptide Takes Bronze in Bugarski Cup!!

Our Tornadoes 15U Brant Riptide Team had their best tournament of the season. They fought through a long day to take home a bronze medal! Congratulations!!

Aftershock Takes Home Bronze!!

The Brantford Tornadoes Aftershock 16U girls’ volleyball team competed in the OVA Bugarski Cup on February 23rd. They displayed grit and determination, starting the day undefeated and winning their pool. After winning their quarterfinal match in straight sets, they narrowly lost a hard-fought semifinal match in three sets. Securing a bronze medal with a win in the third-place game capped off a successful day.

16U Tornadoes Take Bronze Medal in Bugarski Cup!

Bronze at BUGARSKI! Maybe not the colour they were hoping for, but the entire Tornadoes team had strong play all day long for a well-deserved medal in their final Qualifier for the season. Way to go!!!

Synergy Continues its Winning Ways!!!

While playing up an age group in the Bugarski 16U tournament in Simcoe, the 15U Synergy team captured Gold by beating Stratford Stingers in the quarters, Brant Tornadoes in semis and Smash Rockets in the finals.

The team played smart and aggressive all day. Well done girls!

15U Synergy Wins Another Gold!!!

The 15U Synergy Team captured their third medal of this season with a gold medal performance at Niagara College in OVA Challenge Cup Championship on Sunday January 12. With their win, they will be promoted to the Select Division for their next 15U competition.

Additional Developmental Programs Now Available!!!

BYVC is pleased to announce that due to overwhelming demand, another Senior Rec House League date AND Junior Spikes date have been added to our Program list.

The Senior Rec House League is available to boys and girls aged 12-14, and builds on skills introduced in Spikes to further develop the individual volleyball skills.  Introduce more complex skills such as blocking and team play concepts for offense and defense.

The Junior Spikes Program is available for boys and girls aged 9-11 and provides basic introduction to individual volleyball skills such as forearm passing, setting, attacks and serving.

As well, there are still 9 spots open for our Junior Rec House League, for ages 9-11, running on Fridays starting Feb. 28 through Apr. 14 (excluding March 14), from 6:30pm-8:00pm at Paris District High School.

16U Tornadoes win Bronze!!

On, November 9th, the Brant Tornadoes 16U Girls team won a Bronze medal at their first tournament of the season, at Holy Trinity Catholic High School in Simcoe!
