TLS Girls – Outburst Takes Silver at Nationals!!!
What. A. Season.
A huge congratulations to Outburst on winning a silver medal at Nationals on Sunday, May 3rd in Ottawa!
After going 2 for 3 on Day 1 and then UNDEFEATED on Day 2, the team was so excited to see what the Playoff Day brought for them.
The girls won two straight sets in the quarterfinal leading them into the most nail-biting semifinal of their season.
After winning set one 32-30 and going down set two 25-27, they knew they wanted to take it all in the third set. The girls won 17-15 over 41SIX flames in set three to get them into the final!
After a grueling semifinal, the girls fought hard against Thunderbolts Smash Flare in the Final and claimed a silver medal!
The Coaches could not be prouder of the girls after such an amazing season!
Many thanks to our Sponsors for making this dream happen!!!

Brant Youth Volleyball Club is thrilled to announce that THREE of our teams are competing at the 2026 Canadian Youth Nationals this year!

Bronze Medal for 17U Aftershock at OCs!!!
Congratulations to our 17U Girls Aftershock Team for taking a Bronze Medal in the Ontario Championships in Division 4, Tier 2!!!
Before playing in their Ontario Championship Bronze medal game Coach Wilkins asked them ALL for 1% more and they absolutely delivered. We hope to have them all return next season so we can finish off their 18U year with a bang!

The 17U Girls Aftershock team was a truly special group to Coach this season. They were caring, thoughtful, and showed great perseverance through every challenge they faced. Their spirit, positive energy, and ability to be true teammates made them not only successful on the court, but also fun to be around every day. This team represented what Aftershock is all about, and I’m very proud of everything they accomplished together.

Brant Riptide – 16U Bugarski Cup Recap
Brant Riptide competed up a division this weekend at the 16U Girls Bugarski Cup, taking on a tough field and strong opponents.
While the results didn’t quite meet the goals we set for ourselves, the team competed hard in every match. Many of the sets were extremely close, and it was encouraging to see clear progress in several areas we’ve been working on in practice.
The focus now shifts to continuing that improvement and preparing for Provincials.

Award Winners
Brinley #27 – Net Presence Award
Brinley led the team with the best kill percentage and the most blocks. Her physical presence at the net forced opponents to adjust their attack and made a major impact throughout the day.
Audrey #8 – Top Scorer Award
Audrey led the team in total points scored through both attacks and serving runs. A strong offensive performance all tournament.
Daniela #7 – Heart & Hustle Award
Daniela brought infectious energy and positivity to every match, helping lift the team in key moments. Great to have you back, Daniela!

Silver for TLS Girls – Outburst!!!
ANOTHER MEDAL SECURED🥈🥈🥈
We are beyond proud to share the outstanding performance by the girls in Hamilton on Saturday, Feb. 21. Moving up to Championship B, we were excited to see what a high level of competition would look like for us. Coming into the tournament in 8th seed, the girls fought hard all morning finishing first in their pool after a tough 3-set battle against Smash Raiders Reach and another close game against Scorpions Ignite.
Into the quarter final against London Fire Explode, the girls served and hit aggressively to win both sets 25-22 and 25-19. A nail biting semi final game against FCVC Evergreen went to three sets and we eventually came out on top winning 16-14 in set three.
After punching our ticket to the gold medal match, the girls knew they had to give it their all and that’s exactly what they did. Winning the first set 25-22 we had high hopes. We fell just short after losing set two 25-20 and three 15-12.
Coming home with a silver medal at a Championship-level tournament was a huge accomplishment for us and we couldn’t be prouder!!! #letsgooutburst!!!

Announcing the awards for today’s tournament:
DRUMROLL PLEASE🥁
Simrit (15) – for being a reliable player when we needed to make substitutions. Simrit was determined to showcase her skills up at the net when subbed in to the game and earned us points!
Julia (8) – for being a reliable player and coming in to serve the ball during high stress times in a game. We could trust that Julia would get the ball over the net under pressure!
Raya (7) – QUEEN👑 for continuously improving throughout the day and perservering through difficult times on the court. Being one of our setters, Raya is involved in every play and did an excellent job all day!
Emmy (16) – for being our most aggressive server. In practice we have emphasized the importance of serving to score and Emmy scored the most aces overall today!
Anya (10) – for using our “nothing hits the ground” mentality. Anya played extremely well defensively and made excellent passes up to the setter!
