Brant Youth Volleyball Club (BYVC) has finalized tryout dates and times for our 2025/2026 competitive season!
Locations:
- Tryouts on September 5th, 6th, and 7th are at Branlyn Community Centre, 238 Brantwood Park Rd, Brantford, ON N3P 1N9.
- Tryouts on September 8th are at Pauline Johnson Collegiate & Vocational School, 627 Colborne St, Brantford, ON N3S 3M8.
Cost: $25 for both tryout dates. Payments will be collected through TeamSnap on your credit card.
NOTE: FOR ALL ATHLETES, all participants must be pre-registered for tryouts. Registration is a two-step process:
- Register with BYVC via website Links below – you will be sent an invite to join via TeamSnap;
- Register as a tryout player with Ontario Volleyball Association. Cost = $0. This ensures you are covered for insurance purposes. If you have already registered with OVA in the past, you still need to update the athlete’s information to “Tryout Player”. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS STEP SEPT 1st – SEPT 5th.

*We anticipate these tryouts to be very popular therefore they will divided into 2 groups. Group 1’s tryout will be 2:15 – 4pm; Group 2’s tryout will be 4 – 5:45pm. We will contact you with your tryout time closer to the date.
EIC (Early Contact Initiative) covers 4v4 Rallyball, 6v6 Rallyball and TLS (formerly known as U14). At tryouts, we will be evaluating players based on their skill and placing them on teams that are developmentally appropriate for their level. Please note that only players born 2013 and later are eligible to play 4v4 (they are eligible to play 6v6 or TLS if developmentally appropriate as well). 2012 birth years can play either 6v6 Rallyball or TLS. Extended Age Groups – Athletes born between Sept. 1 and Dec. 31 may play in either of their natural age group or one age group younger. Athletes are encouraged to participate in their natural age group unless it is more developmentally appropriate for them to play in the age group below or above.
Additional tryouts may be required. These will take place in the week following tryouts. You will be contacted if you are invited to additional tryouts.
