Mckenna S.

Mckenna is an Assistant Coach for the 15U Synergy Girls Team and has been coaching since 2021, with 3 years of experience and additional involvement in the BYVC Little Diggers program.

McKenna began playing Club volleyball when she was 12 years old and played throughout high school.

She started coaching because of her love for volleyball and her desire to continue being involved in the sport after her playing days were over.

One of McKenna’s favorite memories as a coach was seeing the happiness of her team after winning their first gold medal.”

Lynnsay M.

Lynnsay is the Head Coach for the TLS Storm Girls Team.

Lynnsay is a seasoned volleyball player with 35 years of experience, beginning in middle school and extending through to college varsity play.

Her passion for the sport has translated into a coaching career, where she has guided Grade 7 and 8 girls’, boys’, and co-ed volleyball teams in North Bay, Ontario.

With a degree in Recreation and Leisure Services, Lynnsay brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to youth development, helping young athletes build their skills and love for the game.

Kyla W.

Kyla is an Assistant Coach with the 16U Aftershock Girls Team.

Kyla made her mark as a standout player for Humber College, and the daughter of esteemed Humber College men’s volleyball coach Wayne Wilkins.

She contributed to the team’s dominance as OCAA West Division and OCAA Champions for four consecutive seasons from 2014 to 2018.

Individually, she has been recognized as an OCAA Academic All-Star and a First Team All-Star in 2017/18. With a CCAA Bronze Medal already to her name, Kyla is pursuing her career goal of playing professional volleyball, continuing the family legacy of excellence in the sport.

Katelynn C.

Katelynn is an Assistant Coach with the 15U Thunder Girls Team.

Katelynn is a dedicated parent who actively helps coach the teams of all three of her daughters. With a background in volleyball, having played both recreationally in her youth and competitively in high school, she brings her passion for sports and teamwork to the field as she supports and mentors young athletes.

Jacqueline D.

Jackie is the Head Coach of the 15U F5 Girls Team.

 

Jackie is the Head Coach of the 15U F5’s Girls Team. This is Jackie’s first year as Head coach with BYVC. She has volunteered her energy and time in both indoor and Beach volleyball with this club for the past 2 years. She has many years of experience playing in High School, College and in adults leagues. She has a true passion for the sport and also has 2 daughters who share in this passion.

Jackie coaches with intensity, and with a standard of doing things correctly and with pride. She creates an environment where confidence in the process and in the team is established. When everyone is working towards the same goal with the same energy and commitment, success will follow.

Her fondest memories are building long lasting friendships with the same love for the sport.

Jackie’s Philosophy is to be good at something, you first have to love doing it – nothing great happens without passion. Once the dedication is there, volleyball is a sport developed through process. And that process starts and ends by simply loving to play the game.

She looks forward to building relationships and sharing her love for sports with the athletes.

Derek R.

Derek is an Assistant Coach with the 15 Riptide Girls Team. This is Derek’s first year coaching for the club. 

Derek’s experience with volleyball has mainly been playing on teams through high school, and various men’s and co-ed leagues since. He decided to start coaching with BYVC since his daughter joined the club last year and fell in love with the sport as well. Derek thought this would be a great way to stay involved and give back to the community.

Derek’s philosophy in sport and life is to give your all in everything that you do, set goals to improve daily as individuals and most importantly as a team.

Dana is an Assistant Coach with the TLS Storm Girls Team.

Clarissa B.

Clarissa is an Assistant Coach with the 15U F5 Girls Team.

Ashley M.

Ashley is the Head Coach with the 15U Thunder Girls Team.

Ashley grew up playing the game recreationally. Though never competing at a formal level, she has enjoyed participating in various co-ed recreational volleyball leagues as an adult, fostering both teamwork and camaraderie.

In addition to her love for volleyball, she has been actively involved in youth sports, particularly soccer, where she assisted with her children’s teams, helping to guide and support the young players despite not holding a formal coaching position.

Professionally, Ashley works as a nurse, with a wealth of experience in both emergency room care and pediatric clinic settings.

Amy is an Assistant Coach with the TLS Mayhem Girls Team.
