16U Girls – Riptide Captures Silver Medal!!

Brant Riptide captured Silver this weekend at the 16U Girls McGregor Cup in Simcoe, delivering their strongest volleyball performance of the season.

The team came out firing, winning their morning pool and setting the tone early. They defeated Norfolk Chaos Fury in a hard-fought three-set match (25–13, 20–25, 15–11), followed by a confident straight-sets win over London Fire Smoke (25–20, 25–14).

In the Quarterfinals, Riptide continued their momentum with a decisive two-set victory over Waterloo Tigers Titanium (25–14, 25–16).

The Semifinals brought another strong test against Waterloo Tigers Ascent, where the team once again rose to the challenge, winning in two sets (25–21, 25–16).

The Final against a tough Jr. Gryphons Strikers squad was a thrilling, back-and-forth battle. Despite an outstanding effort, Riptide narrowly fell in three close sets (25–20, 20–25, 15–17) to finish the tournament with a well-earned silver medal.

The entire team should be extremely proud of the hard work, growth, and resilience that led to this result. This weekend was a clear step forward, and the group looks poised to build on this momentum moving ahead.
