15U Synergy played in the McGregor Cup in the Championship B Division at Niagara Falls Convention Centre on Friday, Feb. 9th.
In Pool Play, Synergy beat the number 1 ranked team, Caspian Sharks, in 3, 18-25, 25-18, 15-8, but lost to the Guelph Gryphons, 18-25, 20-25.
In the Quarter Finals, Synergy lost in 3 to the eventual gold medal winners, Kw Predators, 18-25, 25-22, 10-15. Moving on to Consolation, Synergy beat Georgetown Impact 25-23, 25-22, before losing to EVP Green, 16-25, 20-25.
The girls played well all day. They served aggressively, anticipated well on defense and had a positive attitude all day.
They maintained their ranking in the Championship Division, finishing 7th.
